The Rawalpindi Test played between Pakistan and England has entered an interesting phase, at the end of the fourth day, Pakistan scored 80 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in an effort to reach the 343 run goal.
On the fifth and final day of the Test, Pakistan will need 263 runs while England will need 8 wickets.
Earlier, the Pakistan team was bowled out for 579 runs in the first innings against England and in this way the visiting team got a lead of 78 runs while the English team scored 264 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the second innings. The innings was declared, and Pakistan were given a target of 343 runs to win.
In the second innings, first-innings century-maker Ben Duckett was dismissed for a wicket on the second ball of the over, followed by English player Ollie Pope who also returned to the pavilion with just 13 runs while Zac Crowley was dismissed for 50 runs.
On the fourth day, Pakistan's second innings did not get off to a good start and Abdullah Shafiq, the batsman who scored a century in the first innings, was dismissed for an individual score of just 6. At that time, Pakistan's total score was 20 runs.
While Azhar Ali was retired at the score of 20, Babar Azam also failed to perform well and was caught by Ben Stokes after scoring 4 runs.
However, Imam-ul-Haq and Saud Shakeel batted responsibly and brought the score to 80 runs, Imam 63 and Shakeel 24 not out, Pakistan need to score another 263 runs to win on the fifth and final day.
At the end of the third day of the Test match, Pakistan scored 499 runs for 7 wickets in the first innings thanks to the centuries of both the openers and captain Babar Azam.
Today, on the fourth day, Agha Salman and Zahid Mehmood started the innings on behalf of the national team, Agha Salman got out after scoring 53 runs, besides them, Naseem Shah got out after scoring 15 runs and Haris Rauf got out after scoring 12 runs and thus the Pakistan cricket team scored 579 runs.
On behalf of Pakistan, Abdullah Shafiq 114, Imamul Haque 121, Azhar Ali 27, captain Babar Azam 136, Saud Shakeel 37, Mohammad Rizwan 29 were out on behalf of Pakistan.
On behalf of England, Will Jacks bowled devastatingly and dismissed 6 players, apart from them Jack Leach took 2 wickets while James Anderson and Ollie Robinson took one wicket each.
It should be remembered that England scored 657 runs in the first innings thanks to the centuries of four players.
England are playing their first Test match on Pakistani soil after 17 years, where they last played a Test match during the 2005 tour of Pakistan.
